In 2023, Kakeru achieved a major victory at Gamers8 2023, securing a $400,000 prize. Later that year, he won the Blink Respawn 2023 championship. His success continued into 2024, where he finished as the runner-up at EVO Japan 2024 and the Topanga Championship 5. His consistency and exceptional skillset led him to qualify for Capcom Cup 11 by winning the Capcom Pro Tour 2024 World Warrior: Japan #1.
